EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE & EDUCATION DEGREE
The Early Childhood Care and Education associate degree program is a sequence of courses
designed to prepare students for careers in child care and related fields. Learning opportunities
develop academic, technical, and professional knowledge and skills required for job acquisition,
retention, and advancement. The program emphasizes a combination of early childhood care and
education theory and practical application necessary for successful employment.
Program graduates receive an Early Childhood Care and Education Associate of Applied
Technology Degree and have the qualification of early childhood care and education
paraprofessional or early childhood program management director.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
ATC’s Career Placement Office is available to assist students in finding employment in their occupational fields.

ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
* Must be 16 years of age
* Official high school or GED transcript is required
to apply
* Achievement of minimum program admission
scores in Reading, Language, and Math
* Transfer of previous post secondary credits will be
determined by the registrar.
Student Performance/Graduation Requirements: Students must maintain a 2.0 grade point average and complete all required courses to graduate.
