MICROSOFT OFFICE SPECIALIST IN POWERPOINT - TECHNICAL CERTIFICATE
The Microsoft Office Specialist is PowerPoint certificate provides the student with the knowledge,
skills and techniques to be competent in intensive use of word processing and desktop publishing software
to create publications such as letterheads, resumes, flyers, brochures, reports, newsletters, and business
cards. The program provides a study of word processing and desktop publishing. It also emphasizes an
extensive use of presentations graphics software (PowerPoint) to create presentations that will be
delivered over a variety of media. This course is designed to prepare the student for the
PowerPoint Microsoft Office Specialist Exam. Graduates of the program receive a Microsoft
Office PowerPoint Specialist technical certificate of credit.

ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
* Must be 16 years of age
* Official high school or GED transcript is required
to apply
* Achievement of minimum program admission
scores in Reading, Language, and Math
* Transfer of previous post secondary credits will be
determined by the registrar.
Student Performance/Graduation Requirements: Students must maintain a 2.0 grade point average and complete all required courses to graduate.
