Instructors who would like to be monitored for the 2008-2009 instruction years, may contact the following Faculty. Remember that you can download the Instructor Monitoring form from the "Forms" link. Then turn in your form to the Training Center here at Atlanta Technical College, New Connection Center Suite 1.

Provider Classes:
Please check the ‘Calendar of Events’ link to see the schedule of provider classes offered at Atlanta Technical College. Deadline to register for these classes will be 72 hours prior to the class date. Classes are subject to cancellation within those 72 hours if we do not have enough prepaid students registered.

Instructor Classes:
Please check the ‘Calendar of Events’ link to see a schedule of instructor classes offered at Atlanta Technical College. These classes will be held the second half of the 2006 year. Deadline to register for these classes will be 72 hours prior to the class date. Classes are subject to cancellation within those 72 hours if we do not have enough prepaid instructor candidates registered.

ACLS and PALS Instructor candidates: you must have a letter of recommendation from a Regional Faculty member.

Instructor Recertification
Please make sure that you have satisfied all requirements to recertify by the expiration date on your instructor card.

1. Maintain current Provider Status
as evidenced by current Provider Card OR demonstration of acceptable Provider Skills as documented by the Critical Skills Checklist and successful completion of the Provider written examination.

2.Teach a minimum of 4 documented courses in 2 years.

3. Be monitored teaching
a regular or renewal course in the preceding 2 years. The first monitoring after the initial Instructor Course does not satisfy this requirement. Use the Instructor Monitor Form to document.

4. Attend updates.
Updates may address new course content or methodology and review TC, regional and national ECC information. Instructor Updates are mandatory.

There is no grace period for Instructor recertification. Be sure that you have satisfied all the above requirements so you can maintain your Instructor Certification.
